Recommendations and assistance in securing appropriate
financing for the selected property.
Provide a list of potential qualified vendors e.g.
movers, inspectors, attorneys, carpenters if these services are needed
by the consumer.
Most importantly, the buyer would know that they are fully represented
throughout the real estate transaction.
18 Questions to ask before you agree
to work with a Realtor as your representative
1. Do you work full time as a real estate salesperson?
2. How long have you been a real estate agent?
3. What special training have you had as a buyers representative?
4. Are you a member of the National Association of Realtors?
5, What special designations do you possess?
6. Has your production gone up or down recently? Why?
7. How many contracts to purchase have you written in the past 6
months? How many of these closed?
8. Of the contracts that didn't close, what would you say is the
dominant reason?
9. How many total transactions have you closed in the past 6 months?
10. Do you have a full-time team of affiliates with whom you work
consistently who will see that no details are missed?
11. How many potential Sellers would you guess you personally talk
to each week?
12. How many potential Sellers would you guess your entire office
has contacted with each week?
13. Do you understand specialized contracts such as seller carry-back,
wrap-arounds or cosigners' transactions?
14. Do you belong to the Multiple Listing Service?
15. Do you have any suggestions as to how I might save money on title
fees, closing costs, repair costs, inspection fees, and moving costs?
16. Will you give me a written plan of action that spells out exactly
what we agree you will do to help me find a home? Will you guarantee, in
writing, to follow that plan?
17. May I have a list of references, buyers you are working with
now, and past clients? May I contact a couple of these people if I choose?
18. Why do you feel you and your company would be the best to handle
the purchase of my property?
